Picture taken the last day of year 2009 .The weather  was brilliant and good for the  fireworks to night in Reykjavík  city  , but you can see some fireworks  from Selfoss the village  15.min.drive from my home. The Icelandic New Year's Eve is by many considered the most breathtaking New Year's celebration in the world. Can you belive that?!!! I appreciat the quietness here in the country ..... So cosy....   My mother was 90 years old on December 16 . She is very efficient and can still lived in her apartment and see for themselves. She would not have a big birthday party so she came home to me on her  birthday and there were her children and relatives and we had a wonderful time together.
